SSWA Cross Country Success
Mount Lawley Senior High School had over 30 of our best cross-country athletes participate in this year's competition.
Under the clear skies of McGillivray Oval, our students showcased their endurance and determination, running distances between 3 and 6km amidst a sea of 200-300 competitors from each age group.
We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements, with several of them finishing in the top 20 and just outside the automatic top 10 National invitation finishing slot.
Special congratulations go to Ava and Lucy Henville.
Lucy, displaying remarkable resilience, competed in the Girls 14 division against 373 other students and finished in 7th place with a time of 17 minutes and 13 seconds for 4 km. Ava, with unwavering perseverance, ran against 173 competitors in the Girls 16 division and became the State Champion with a time of 15 minutes and 16 seconds across the undulating 4km course.
Well done to all that took part..we look forward too many more students participating in 2025—special thanks to Miss Wright for her support throughout the day.
