State Chinese Writing Competition 2015
The results for this year's State Chinese Writing Competition organised by the Chinese Language Teachers Association WA (CLTAWA) have returned with good news.
Our students have won four major prizes in this competition this year.
Kexin (Year 11) and Zhen (Year 12) were the winners of the First and Second Prizes in Category E4 (Level 9 - Advanced) respectively.
Kexin's writing 'My World, Filled with Music' was best presented on the A3 size paper, and convinced the judges by its simple black and white colour.
A more colourful piece, Zhen's 'My World, My Utopia' also outstood her writing from the other entries from WA schools with Chinese programmes.
At the same time, Josephine of Year 10 GAT, and Ben of Year 9 GAT, as Chinese Second Language learners, won the third and fifth prizes respectively in Category D (Year 9 & 10).
Josephine wrote in Chinese about her China Tour which took place in this April.
Ben chose a topic as 'Me and Chinese' and recounted his Chinese learning experience.
Congratulations to these students! Well done!
