Students of Chinese in China
Year 11 students Jayde, Tara and Raqeema, along with Mrs Chong are attending the 6th World High School Chinese-Bridge Competition in China as observers.
The three students won the trip by winning places in the Australian final held in Adelaide earlier this year.
In Beijing, they visited the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and climbed the great Wall with over 300 students from 65 countries.Jayde had the following to say,
"Tara, Raqeema and I are currently in China observing the sixth Hanyuqiao competition and are having an absolutely fantastic time! We have spent every day making friends from all over the world, enjoying amazing cultural performances and improving our Chinese speaking skills. I honestly cannot express how worthwhile this experience has been. To socialise with students from 66 different natonalities is almost incomprehensible!"
They then flew to Kunming where the competition was held.
