Proactive Project Runner Up in Award of Excellence
At a recent Government House function, the Mount Lawley Senior High School Proactive @ Lawley Project was recognised with a Runner Up Award of Excellence for a Secondary Physical Activity Initiative by ACHPER (Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
The program has been running at the school since 2009 and is designed to offer alternative opportunities for physical activity and to promote and encourage improved health for students. Our aim is to offer activities which will engage all students and particularly, the less physically active, or those who are not involved in traditional sport teams.
The program encourages a whole school approach to health and physical activity
