Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist

At the age of nine, Kristina Krstic took up what would become her sporting passion of lawn bowls.

By the time she was in high school, Kristina had improved so much that she began travelling inter-state to compete.

In 2011, her final year at school, Kristina was a Prefect, and won the Australian Junior Singles titles. It was a feat she repeated the following year.

She also claimed silver in the Australian Open Pairs.

In 2012, she won Gold in the Victorian Open Triples competition, and was named Australian Junior Bowler of the Year.

Kristina played in the Junior World Cup in 2014 and 2015, winning the Under-25 World Singles Title in 2015.

In 2017, Kristina graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Chiropractic and began working as a Chiropractor while continuing to travel for competitions.

In 2019 she won the Multi-Nations Triples, and was the Multi-Nations Overall Team/Overall Women's Champion.

Moving ahead, and in 2022, Kristina represented Australia (her 83rd cap) at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

She played in the Women's Fours, as well as the Women's Pairs, where she won a Gold Medal in a match that went to a thrilling extra end.

The result makes her only the second Western Australian to win a Lawn Bowls Gold Medal.

Kristina was inducted as a Lawley Legend on Friday 16 July 2023
